Description

Similar products are sold in bottles of 100-150 capsules and do not tell you that one bottle is not enough for a full 5 week course, so you end up needing to order more, possibly getting them too late. Your purchase of 7-Week Antenatal Formula covers your entire prenatal need.

This formula when used will assist the mother in the following ways:

  • Provide for a much easier labor and delivery.
  • Make for a helpful change in labors that tend to be too long or too short.
  • Increase in dilation over time.
  • Minimize postpartum bleeding when taken in conjunction with a good and nutritious diet program.
  • Help to prevent possible hemorrhage in women with borderline anemia, the Rh-negative factor and other conditions.
**If you have high blood pressure, we do not recommend this formula due to the presence of Blue Cohosh.

Dosage: Six to nine capsules a day are recommended. It is recommended that dosages begin the FIRST week (five weeks before due date) with two capsules in the morning and two nightly, before meals. Increase the SECOND week (four weeks antenatally) to two capsules, three times a day. Increase the THIRD and FOURTH weeks up to about three or four capsules, three times a day, according to individual tolerance levels. Maintain this dosage until delivery. The formula can also be used a week to ten days postpartum advantageously

*Blue Cohosh: Regulates menstrual flow; brings on effective labor contractions; for chronic uterine trouble, leukorrhea (a discharge, sometimes profuse, of whitish or yellowish mucus from the vagina), inflammation of the vagina; has potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, silicon, phosphorus; helps alkalinize the blood and urine.

*Blessed Thistle: Great power in purifying and circulating of the blood; strengthens the heart; soothing to headaches; good for memory; lifts spirits; excellent in puberty; aids in the production of quality mother’s milk.

*False Unicorn: Female herbal director: balances the direction of female changes, puts functions of reproductive organs in right perspective. If fetus is malformed, or an uncorrectable problem exists, false unicorn will encourage spontaneous miscarriage (in early stage of pregnancy); if all is well and some other cause has threatened miscarriage, false unicorn will change directions to retain fetus in utero to successful conclusion of pregnancy. Assists in the discharge of retained placenta and membrane fragments after delivery.

*Red raspberry leaves: Antacid; decreases menstrual flow; soothes—doesn’t excite; mild laxative; assists in parturition; removes cankers; allays nausea as an anti-emetic; astringent; used as a tonic and alterative to restore health and vigor.

*Motherwort: Nervine, hepatic (for liver problems); good for suppressed urine: excellent pregnancy herb

*Lobelia: Antispasmodic, nervine; excellent in enemas with catnip; improves oxygenation of blood; has great influence upon regulatory systems and restores interaction between the functions of the organs; wonderful for help with pain.

*Squawvine: Diuretic; helps to make childbirth wonderfully easy—especially when used with red raspberry leaves; good for uterine troubles, female complaints; excellent for sore nipples when combined with olive oil; astringent and tonic.

*False Unicorn: Female herbal director:balances the direction of female changes, puts functions of reproductive organs in right perspective. {If signs of miscarriage arise in first or second trimester, begin taking false unicorn in tincture form.} Assists in the discharge of retained placenta and membrane fragments after delivery.

*Wild Yam: Good to combine with squawvine; in frequent, small doses allays nausea; relaxing and soothing to nerves; one of best herbs for pain in childbirth; good for discomfort in late pregnancy; combine with ginger to prevent miscarriage.

*Bayberry root bark: Astringent properties suppress bleeding; aids in the separation of the placenta; increases flow of urine; excellent for dispelling fermentation in stomach and bowels; for relief of cramps when uterus is contracting; stimulates the uterus to function properly.

As with all natural supplements, proof of their ability to do as they claim is based upon word of mouth use and not scientifically proven evidence. His Grace Herbals and Precious Arrows makes no claims that this or any of our formulas are scientifically proven effective; we simply believe based upon usage of these and other herbs over time, that the formula may help in nourishing your body’s regular functions and helping to improve your immune and body system responses. We understand that some herbs work differently on different individuals and therefore advise that you consult with your health practitioner prior to taking any supplements to be assured of how they may affect you based upon your overall health and other medications. We make no claims that this is the recipe of Polly Jeans Formula.

**Notes on Blue Cohosh:
Recent studies suggest that Blue Cohosh extract may increase uterine tone, alter contraction levels, widen the range of contractions, and slightly hasten the birthing process. It's worth noting that some literature reports adverse effects on the baby, leading to hesitancy among certain midwives to use Blue Cohosh in this manner. The documented adverse effects are associated with significantly higher doses than typically found in this preparation formula. Additionally, there's evidence indicating that individuals with high blood pressure may experience a further increase when taking Blue Cohosh.

5 of 5 Stellar product! September 12, 2020
Reviewer: Angela Hansen from North Vancouver, BC Canada
I took the herbal formula with my first pregnancy starting at 34 weeks, through birth, and the first few weeks of the postpartum period. I had a wonderful trauma free homebirth waterbirth at about 39 weeks, it wasn't too fast or slow, I had no tearing, no hemorrhages, rapid recovery, great milk production, and I felt great before and after birth, and baby was very healthy. I did many things to ensure a smooth and healthy birth, and the herbs formula was one of them. I will be taking them again with all future births.
