These are GREAT sterilization packs for using in your birth bags. You can sterilize the instruments within the pack and then wrap them up nice and snug to be used when you are ready. They are made with very cute and baby-like designs and don't have a medical-like stigma when the parents see them.
For Oven Sterilization: Wash your instruments well with a germicidal soap and scrub brush, rinse with water and allow to dry. For stainless instruments, coat instruments with lubricant and again allow to dry. Pack in flannel pouches and lay on a clean cookie sheet (used only for sterilization purposes) and stick a sterilization strip or tape on the pouch. Put a 9x13 dish of water on bottom rack of your oven and place the cookie sheet on the middle rack. Bake at 250° F and for 2 hrs. Let them cool down, then place in ziplock freezer bag and date. For bags that may be bounced around a bit, double bag with the freezer bag Stick them in your birth bag and you're off!
A Wonderful Gift for a Midwife who's just starting out or one who's been catching babies right nigh on forever!

The Small Pouch holds: Adson Tissue Forceps, 1x2 Iris Scissors, 5" Halsted Mosquito Forceps, Curved Webster Needle Holder
